October 1963
Versions Appear on:
Kissin' Cousins (1964)Worldwide Gold Award Hits Vol 1 (1970)
Notes:
The first version of this song is a rocker with a good beat, a saxophone break and wailing guitars, and it was this cut that was released as a single here.
The second version however was re-arrnged by Bill Grant & Bernie Baum & Florence Kaye. This second version was made as the title tune for the film of the same name in 1964, and is a speeded up version with inferior lyrics.

Title:
It Hurts Me

Writers:
Joy Byers
1st Recorded:
12th January 1963
Recorded @
RCA Studios, Nashville, Tennessee.
1st Released:
October 1963
Versions Appear on:
Worldwide Gold Award Hits Vol 2 (1971)
Notes:
A throwback to the early RCA days and records. This blends a Floyd Cramer piano with the Jordanaires as Elvis sings about how it hurts him to see the way another man is treating a girl he loves and emphasises how true he'd be if he had someone like her.
