Notes:
|
The
essence of rock n roll, captured on film and wax for the ages.
From the film of the same name, this was one of Elvis' most electrifying song scenes ever. The music has the kick of a mule and the vocals are well nigh ineffable, high, uncompromising, angry, violent, sexy, fun, foolish and relentless, everything that rock is, was or is ever likely to be inits purest incarnations. D.J. Fontanna's snare drum was a revelation, Mike Stoller plays piano and Scotty and Bill rock out. Elvis proved he could still whip out this song when he permformed it on his NBC-TV Special in 1968. He also performed the song in his last TV Special for CBS in 1977. |

Notes:
|
From
the flim Jailhouse Rock, an irrisistable ditty from the first notes of
the Dudley Brooks piano to the finish.
Elvis in his huskiest, sexiest voice and the Jordanaires burping and clapping in the background. |
