The
big hit of Elvis' 1970 Vegas shows, kicking, funky bit of Southern stuff
that brings out the best of Elvis and his band, making the song reek of
the Louisanna swamps.
The song was usually opened with one of Elvis dialogues. Three different versions of the song at different stages, can be seen in the film/documentary TTWII (1970), another version was delivered in the film Elvis On Tour, although these versions were not released by RCA on record. A fine live version does appear on the album recorded at Madison Square Garden in 1972. |
